The boat averaged 9 knots over a distance of 10 miles, with a maximum speed of 12.5 knots. Speeds verified by use of Magellan GPS300 satnav.

Blue Lightning's Cockpit Blue Lightning's spacious self-draining cockpit. It is larger than those on most 35 foot yachts, and is uncluttered by guardwires and stanchions.
The outboard fits neatly in a well. When the motor is raised, I can fit a blanking plate in the aperture.
There is more stowage space than you'll need for a month's cruise, and the seats are long enough and wide enough to double up as two extra berths.
